Account and lead lists
Define the ideal customer, pull and clean company and contact data, and remove what does not fit.
I’m Gaurav Sah, a GTM engineer in Kathmandu. I build the systems behind pipeline: finding the right accounts, enriching and scoring them, spotting buying signals and drafting relevant outreach, then measuring what works.
A GTM (go-to-market) engineer turns manual sales and marketing tasks into repeatable systems: data, enrichment, routing, outreach and reporting. The title is new, and companies define it differently, so I describe the work rather than the label.
I come to it from marketing: SEO, analytics, email and automation. That means I build outbound that connects to the website, content and tracking, not a list that lives in a spreadsheet nobody owns.
Define the ideal customer, pull and clean company and contact data, and remove what does not fit.
Add firmographic, hiring, tech-stack and website signals, then score accounts so the team works the best ones first.
Trigger outreach from real changes, such as hiring, funding or a website gap, with a first line that refers to that change.
Connect forms, CRM, email and analytics so leads are routed and followed up without copy-paste.
Use AI to research and draft, with human checks for accuracy before anything is sent or published.
Track replies, meetings and pipeline by source so the team knows which signals and messages work.
Kathmandu overlaps the European morning and much of the Asian working day, so I can build while your team is offline and hand over before it starts. Companies such as Speechify and ScaleBuild AI have advertised GTM engineer roles in Kathmandu, which shows the work is being hired here.
A Python engine that scores accounts from hiring, tech-stack and SEO-gap signals and writes signal-based first lines.
Marketing foundation for an AI startup, including an AI content workflow on the WordPress REST API, analytics and Resend email.
Eleven months at a Kathmandu agency across branding, websites and digital marketing.
A GTM engineer builds the systems that find, qualify and reach buyers. Here is what the job really involves, the tools, and what I build myself.
What GTM engineers earn outside the US, what I could and could not find for Nepal, and how to think about pricing remote work for foreign startups.
Most guides say GTM engineering is a mid-career move. Here is a realistic plan for a beginner: learn the stack, build three systems, and show your work.

An SDR contacts prospects and books meetings. A GTM engineer builds the systems that find, enrich, score and route those prospects and draft relevant outreach, so SDRs and founders spend time on the right people.
It depends on the team. I work with Python, spreadsheets and APIs, CRMs, email tools and automation platforms, and AI models with human review. I choose the smallest stack that does the job.
Kathmandu is UTC+5:45. I overlap the European morning fully and can schedule regular calls with US teams early in their day.
Email [email protected] with your product, ideal customer and current outbound setup. A small first build, such as a scored account list with signal-based first lines, is the easiest way to test the fit.
